As a glass artist, I was frustrated with the lack of available designs for frit casting and texture molds. I started making my own molds to fill the gap, first partnering with a pottery studio and now producing the molds in my home studio.

I'm known on Facebook as Smonkey Reynolds, and I have a Facebook group, Custom Molds for Glass Fusing where I post my work with new mold designs.

All my molds are handmade in small batches, so some variation from mold to mold is expected. These molds are fully vitrified, which means the clay is fired to maturity instead of bisque or 'biscuit' fired. Vitrified molds are non-porous and sturdier. I recommend using Zyp aerosol boron nitride as a separator because traditional water carried kiln wash can be difficult to apply.
